How All Engagements Work

Scope conversation

A short call or email exchange to confirm the situation, clarify which engagement fits, and agree on terms. No fee at this stage.

Working sessions

Structured working sessions with the relevant people. The consultant facilitates, documents, and keeps the conversation productive.

Output delivered

A final, reviewed document or system is handed to the client. The engagement closes. No continuation unless a new engagement is scoped.

Business Model Canvas Session

A half-day working session for founders and small leadership teams who want a structured conversation about how their business creates and delivers value. The consultant runs the team through a tailored adaptation of the canvas exercise, captures the discussion in real time, and produces a tidy written summary afterward.

Best suited for teams considering a new offering, a market shift, or simply wanting an honest look at their current model. The output is a working artefact — not a strategy document the client must adopt.

02 — FOCUSED ENGAGEMENT

Department Charter Workshop

A focused engagement to help a department or function articulate its own charter: what it exists to do, how it works with the rest of the organisation, what it does and does not own. The consultant runs two or three working sessions with the department leadership, drafts a charter document through several review cycles, and produces a final one-page reference at the end.

Designed for departments with five or more staff in organisations of 50 to 500 people. Particularly useful after restructuring, rapid growth, or when a new department head is settling into role.

Knowledge Management Setup

A multi-week engagement to help an organisation establish a working knowledge management practice — capturing institutional knowledge in a structured, maintainable way. The consultant designs the system structure, drafts templates, runs onboarding sessions with the people who will maintain it, and supports the first month of use.

The system is owned by the client and built around their working pace. Suited for organisations of 30 to 300 staff where verbal knowledge has not yet been captured in a shared place.

What You Can Expect

Confidentiality

Client information is not shared outside the engagement and is not used for any other purpose.

Review cycles

Documents go through at least two review rounds before being finalised. The client has input at each stage.

Full client ownership

All outputs belong to the client. No IP held by Stonecourt, no restrictions on use or distribution.

Responsive communication

Response within one working day. During active engagements, same-day turnaround on operational questions.

Fixed scope, fixed price

Scope is agreed in writing before work begins. The price does not change during the engagement.

Honest assessment

If a session is not producing something useful, the consultant will say so and redirect. The goal is a good output.
